Within Airtable and in our system, we have a field that holds information about disabilities a student may have. The codes within here closely align with the disabilities outlined by Minnesota Department of Education, along with some other items we have included. Below, we have the main categories for disabilities as they exist in our records.

B/VIBlind/Visually ImpairedIncludes students whose vision is no better than 20/60, legally blind, or who have a limited visual field of 20 degrees or less

DCD: Mild-ModerateMildly to moderately disabled individuals whose development rate is 2/3 to 1/2 average in intellectual and adaptive behavior
CDSPDCD: Severe-ProfoundSeverely disabled individuals whose development rate is 1/2 to 1/3 the average rate in intellectual and adaptive behaviors
D/BDeaf-BlindConsists of students who have both conditions, and their needs cannot be accommodated solely in D/HH or B/VI settings
D/DDevelopmentally DelayedFor students six or under with a condition that can result in delay or disorder, or those significantly below the norm in growth
D/HHDeaf/Hard of HearingStudents whose hearing loss is so severe they cannot process information thru hearing, to permanent or fluctuating impairment
EBDEmotional or Behavioral DisorderStudents whose condition makes it tough to learn, build relationships, negative moods, physical symptoms, or fears with school
OHDOther Health DisabilitiesStudents with limited strength or vitality due to chronic or acute health problems that may affect their transportation
PIPhysically ImpairedStudents whose impairments are caused by congenital anomaly, disease, or injury that may adversely affect their ability to ride
S/LISpeech/Language ImpairedIncludes speech impaired, speech disabled and communicatively impaired students
SLDSpecific Learning DisabilitiesThose with disorders that make understanding or communicating difficult when listening, thinking, speaking reading, or writing
SMISeverely Multiply ImpairedA student who has been assessed and found to have two or more disability conditions
TBITraumatic Brain InjuryStudents who have brain injuries caused by external physical force, or internal occurrence resulting in impairment
